3M™ Silvercel™ Hydro-Alginate Antimicrobial Dressings with Silver 5x5 cm - box of 25
3M™ Silvercel™ dressing is a sterile, non-woven pad composed of alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), and silver-coated nylon fibers that help maintain a moist wound environment. The excellent fluid absorption ability and lasting antimicrobial activity make this dressing ideal for chronic wounds with moderate to high levels of exudate, such as pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, neuropathic (diabetic) ulcers, donor sites, post-operative wounds, and trauma wounds.
The antimicrobial effect is secured by a sustained release of silver ions, which can last up to 7 days. This dressing acts against a broad spectrum of germs that are pathogenic to the wound, including MRSA, MRSE, and VRE.
